L’Ouganda a pour capitale Kampala. Sa population est de 51 384 894 (Banque mondiale, 2025). Selon le World Factbook de la CIA, son système de gouvernement est : république présidentielle. President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni est chef de l’État; Prime Minister and Leader of Government Business in Parliament Robinah Nabbanja est chef du gouvernement; Vice President of the Republic of Uganda Jessica Rose Epel Alupo est le suppléant. Le pouvoir législatif est le Parliament. C’est un organe unicameral. Il compte 529 sièges. La plus récente élection nationale enregistrée par IFES ElectionGuide a eu lieu le 15 janvier 2026. Les élections sont organisées par Electoral Commission of Uganda. Michael Atingi-Ego est indiqué comme gouverneur de la banque centrale.
