Sourcing
- Every fact about a person or office links to an official source: a government site, the parliament, the electoral commission or the official gazette.
- Media reports can confirm a fact but are never the only source.
- Anything sensitive about a named person (legal, health, safety or money) needs two strong sources and human approval before it publishes.
- We never estimate or invent a figure.
No editorialising
We publish facts and numbers with their sources. We do not rank politicians, use "best" or "worst" language, or tell readers what to conclude.
Non-partisan
We take no work from political parties or candidates, and publish nothing that promotes or attacks a party or a person.
Election silence
We follow each country's law on publishing polls before an election.
Corrections
We correct the page and add a dated note labelled CORRECTION or UPDATE that says what changed. Report an error to corrections@pollsafrica.com with the page link and a source.
