Member names, party labels and the party seat split come from the publication of National Assembly election results in Government Gazette No. 8555 of 3 January 2025, issued by the Electoral Commission of Namibia and read on 21 October 2026. The swearing-in date comes from the National Assembly minutes of the first sitting, Thursday 20 March 2025. The Parliament of Namibia's 8th National Assembly page and a pinned revision of the Wikipedia list of members (CC BY-SA 4.0) were consulted for name spellings and office entries only. Licence. Electoral Commission of Namibia terms.

This page lists the 96 members elected to Namibia's National Assembly on 27 November 2024 and sworn in at the first sitting on 20 March 2025. The Assembly has 104 seats. Ninety-six are elected on party lists and the other 8 are nominated by the President, who are non-voting and were sworn in separately. The nominated seats are not listed. The country page therefore shows 96 of 104 seats rather than padding the roster to fill the gap. Where the names come from. The names and the party of every member come from the publication of National Assembly election results in the Government Gazette of the Republic of Namibia No. 8555 of 3 January 2025, issued by the Electoral Commission of Namibia. The gazette is the legal statement of who was declared elected, and it certifies 96 members across 13 parties: SWAPO 51, Independent Patriots for Change 20, Affirmative Repositioning 6, Landless People's Movement 5, Popular Democratic Movement 5, United Democratic Front of Namibia 2, and one each for Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters, SWANU of Namibia, Republican Party of Namibia, National Unity Democratic Organisation, All People's Party, National Democratic Party and Body of Christ Party. Our count reproduces that split exactly, member for member. The start date. The National Assembly minutes of its first sitting, Thursday 20 March 2025, record the Chief Justice administering the oath and the affirmation to the 96 who constitute the Eighth Parliament and declaring them duly elected members. Every member listed here carries that date as the start of the term. The same minutes record the election of the Speaker, Saara Kuugongelwa, with 55 votes to 40 for Bernardus Swartbooi with one member absent, and of the Deputy Speaker, Phillipus Katamelo, with 54 votes to 41 for McHenry Venaani. Spellings. The gazette is followed for every name. The Parliament of Namibia's page for the 8th National Assembly and a pinned revision of the Wikipedia list of the 8th National Assembly, reused under CC BY-SA 4.0 at the revision linked from each member page, were used only to compare spellings and to count members. Where they differ from the gazette they were not followed, for example the Parliament page prints Theofilus, Katjingisua, Ballotti and Mwashindange where the gazette prints Theofelus, Katjingisiua, Balotti and Change Mwashindange. Eight of the 96 members have no entry of their own on the Parliament page at the time of this record and are listed from the gazette alone. Members who have since left. The Parliament register marks four members elected in 2024 as having left: Paulus Ithete and Koviao Hengari as relieved, Elifas Dingara as resigned, and James Uerikua as deceased on 3 April 2026. Their records here stay as the people elected in November 2024, with no successor named, because no dated public source we could check names a replacement and the date that person took the seat. Those seats are therefore shown as held by the member elected, not as filled by anyone else. No portraits, and what these sources do not publish. No photograph of a member that we could publish under a clear licence was found, so no member page shows a portrait. Member pages are kept out of search engines and out of the sitemap until a portrait and a start date are both available; the country page and the Parliament page stay indexed. All 96 members were elected on party lists, so no member has a constituency or a region and none is shown. The gazette prints a vote total for each party, not for each member, so no member carries a vote count or a vote share. Neither source gives a gender, a birth date, an e-mail address or a telephone number, so none is published. The chamber not covered here. The National Council, the upper chamber, has 42 seats filled indirectly by regional councillors. It is not published on this site yet and no seat table for it is shown on this page.
