Côte d'Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, has its capital at Yamoussoukro (legislative capital), Abidjan (administrative and economic capital); note - the US Embassy is in Abidjan and a population of 32,711,547 (World Bank, 2025). The CIA World Factbook describes its system of government as a presidential republic. President Alassane Dramane Ouattara (in office since 25 Oct 2025) is head of state; Prime Minister Robert Beugre Mambe is head of government; Vice President Tiemoko Meyliet Kone is the deputy. The legislature is the Parliament (Parlement), a bicameral body with 255 seats in the National Assembly (Assemblée nationale) and 99 seats in the Senate (Sénat).
