Zimbabwe, officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, has its capital at Harare and a population of 16,950,795 (World Bank, 2025). The CIA World Factbook describes its system of government as a presidential republic. President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa (in office since 4 Sept 2023) is head of state; Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is the deputy. The legislature is the Parliament, a bicameral body with 280 seats in the National Assembly and 80 seats in the Senate.
